SUMMARY: The Government has released UGX529b for the capitalisation of Parish Development Model (PDM) savings and cooperative organisations (SACCOS) as part of the total funding for the Financial Year (EY) 2025/26. Taking a big step in Uganda’s wealth creation efforts, UGX1.5 trillion was budgeted for the financial year 2025/2026 to reach more eligible households, with each of the 10,594 parishes receiving UGX100m in total for the year.

SUMMARY: Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) has entered into a partnership with a Japanese firm to execute a project that will see five wastewater treatment centres established in the city. The five sites include schools, markets, estates, and hostels.
