The Joint Staff Committee comprises the CDF, Deputy CDF, Service Chiefs, Division Commanders and Chiefs of Staff of various UPDF Services.

SUMMARY: President Yoweri Museveni yesterday inaugurated Agakhan University’s new academic facilities and commissioned the commencement of the construction of the Aga Khan University Hospital at Nakawa, Kampala city. Accompanied by the First Lady and Minister for Education and Sports, Hon. Janet Museveni, the President was received at the inauguration ceremony by the Aga Khan V, Prince Karim al- Hussein, his sister, Princess Zahra Aga Khan and younger brother, Prince Aly Muhammad.

SUMMARY: President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has unveiled Uganda’s Muliro / Moto Eater prototype all-terrain firefighting vehicle. The President unveiled the revolutionary vehicle to a diplomatic delegation from the embassies of the US, the European Union and Russia at State House, Entebbe on Wednesday. The Muliro/Moto Eater is a revolutionary all-terrain solution designed to access challenging terrains where traditional fire engines cannot. The President stated: “As a man of war, I used to fight fires myself; we would put out fires using leafy branches and approach the fire from the back.”

SUMMARY: President Yoweri Museveni has attributed Uganda Cranes’ historic quarterfinal finish at the CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024 to the tactical advice he shared with the team after their disappointing start to the tournament. Speaking while hosting the Cranes team to a State Dinner at State House Entebbe on Wednesday, the President said his military experience and understanding of football tactics played a key role in the team’s revival after their opening 3-0 defeat to Algeria at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.
