INJECTABLE HIV PREVENTION DRUG NOT A VACCINE

SUMMARY: In Yesterday’s page one headline, the New Vision wrongly stated that the HIV vaccine will cost UGX. 100,000. However, it is important to note that researchers have not yet discovered an HIV vaccine. The article referred to the long-acting injectable HIV prevention drug (Lenacapavir), which the government has promised to roll out in March next year, starting with high-risk populations.
