The law also reinforces the military’s internal justice system, establishing new structures and clarifying disciplinary procedures within the forces.

SUMMARY: The Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, arrived at the 4th Division headquarters in Gulu over the weekend to assess ongoing operations in the area. The CDF urged the officers to maintain the discipline that the UPDF is known for in whatever they do. He also urged them to take good care of themselves by staying fit & healthy.

SUMMARY: The President of the Republic of Maldives, Dr Mohamed Muizzu, has commended Uganda’s leadership of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) so far. Muizzu said the period of Uganda’s presidency of the global movement has so far demonstrated that it was a firm believer in the ideals of the organisation and interested in taking it forward.

SUMMARY: Technocrats spearheading the Government’s efforts to achieve the Coffee Roadmap Vision 2030 of producing 20 million bags are optimistic the goal is still within reach. Gerald Kyalo, the commissioner for coffee development, said as of May 2024-2025, Uganda registered 8.2 million bags,with projections pointing to a higher figure by the end of this year.
