Uganda requested to showcase its peacekeeping capabilities at the “Ushirikiano Imara” in Rwanda

May 27, 2024: Uganda’s 13th Field Training Exercise, “Ushirikiano Imara,” is set to take place in Rwanda this June.


The exercise aims to enhance UN Chapter VIII’s constitutional framework for regional arrangements that promote international peace and security.

During the commencement of the induction exercise in Jinja, Brig. Gen. Twinamasiko encouraged participants to use their skills while also being flexible and open to learning from partner countries in order to strengthen East African cooperation.
