Uganda’s aviation sector is set to benefit from a new capacity development and implementation agreement with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
The agreement will provide Uganda with a range of implementation support products and services, including expert rosters, project management, and customised training packages.
The first initiative will be the development of a new national air navigation plan, ensuring alignment with international aviation standards.
Mr. Fred Bamwesigye, Director General of the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA), welcomed the collaboration, stating that Uganda understands the critical role aviation plays in economic development and connectivity.
“Uganda recognises the crucial role aviation plays in our economic development and connectivity. By partnering with ICAO and leveraging their expertise, we are confident that we can elevate our aviation sector to new heights and provide better services to our citizens and visitors.”” Mr. Bamwesigye remarked.
The agreement is a significant step towards fostering the growth of aviation in Africa and enhancing Uganda’s air navigation system.
The partnership aims to elevate Uganda’s aviation sector and improve services for citizens and visitors.
