THE FULL LIST OF APPOINTMENTS AND REDEPLOYMENTS IN POLICE

His Excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, President of the Republic of Uganda and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, recently appointed and redeployed personnel from the Uganda Police Force.

According to the police, all appointed officers pending reassignment by the Inspector General have a background in law enforcement and policing, enabling them to lead effectively.

“All newly appointed officers, with a background in law enforcement and policing, will enable them to effectively lead the men and women of the Uganda Police Force and promote top-quality policing as they continue to secure our country and make all people feel safe.” Police Spokesman, CP Fred Enanga, stated.

The recently appointed officers include:

  • Inspector General of Police, Abbas Byakagaba
  • Deputy Inspector General of Police, James Ochaya
  • AIGP Nuwagira John, Director, Field Force Unit
  • AIGP Twaruhuukwa Erasmus, Director of Research and Planning
  • AIGP Kaali Fadhil, Director, Fire and Rescue Services
  • SCP Waswa David, Director, Counter Terrorism
  • SCP Kafeero Moses, Director of Human Resource Development and Training
  • SCP Mwesigwa Frank, Director of Operations
  • SCP Namutebi Hadijja, Director, Welfare and Production
  • SCP Kataratambi Charles, Director, Human Rights and Legal Services
  • SCP Bamunoba Ubaldo, Chief Political Commissar
  • SCP Baryamwisaki Felix, Director, ICT

Major General Katsigazi and Brigadier Golooba Godfrey have returned to the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF), while Major General Kandiho Abel has been assigned to the President’s Office as a senior presidential advisor.
