President Museveni Visits Ntambiko Crafts Centre, Reaffirms Commitment to Empowering Ugandans

Wednesday 26th, February 2025-On his way to address hundreds of Ugandans on wealth creation and the Parish Development Model (PDM) at Bushenyi Playground, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni made a stop at the Ntambiko Crafts Centre.

The visit was a testament to the president’s commitment to empowering Ugandans through local initiatives and wealth creation.

During his visit, President Museveni interacted with beneficiaries of the Karooro Foundation initiatives and those who have progressed using PDM funds through the centre.

He commended the beneficiaries for utilising government programs to improve their livelihoods and pledged his full support for all activities at Ntambiko Crafts Centre.

Hon. Mary Karooro Okurut, the founder of the Karooro Foundation, expressed her joy and gratitude over the President’s visit and his appreciation of their work.

The Karooro Foundation has been at the forefront of empowering Ugandans through various initiatives, including the Karooro Saving Association and the Bushenyi Twetambire Association, a health insurance community organisation.

The Parish Development Model (PDM) is a key component of the government’s strategy to promote economic development and wealth creation at the grassroots level.

By providing funding and support to initiatives like the Ntambiko Crafts Centre, the government aims to empower Ugandans to improve their livelihoods and contribute to the country’s economic growth.
