SUMMARY: President Yoweri Museveni has launched a 16-year strategic plan for the development of Bukedi sub-region, with an aim of pulling people out of poverty. Dubbed the Bukedi Sub-region Plan for Accelerated Wealth Creation 2024-2040, the plan is a blueprint which will guide the people out of poverty.

SUMMARY: The First Lady and Minister of Education and Sports, Hon. Janet Museveni, launched the Ministry’s digital agenda strategy yesterday, which seeks to guide the country on the use of technology and mobile gadgets such as tablets and laptops for education purposes in schools. The strategy, which was launched in Kampala is intended to digitally enable equitable transformative education and sports systems in Uganda. The digital agenda strategy was developed in partnership with the United Nations Children’s (UNICEF) Fund, The United Educational, Nations Scientific and Cultural Organisation and the United Nations Capital Development Fund.
