SUMMARY: China has announced the expansion of the high-standard opening up of its economy, broadening prospects of cooperation with key partner states, including Uganda. According to the Chinese Ambassador to Uganda, Zhang Lizhong, the cooperation between Uganda will see accelerated agricultural and rural modernisation, comprehensively revitalising rural areas and improving public well-being, including support to Uganda’s refugee response.

SUMMARY: President Museveni later held his final campaign event at the grounds of Butebo district headquarters. You know the contribution of peace very well. I remember Lakwena passing here and the cattle rustlers. So, it is correct that parts of Pallisa and parts of Butebo should be part of the restocking programme because they were definitely affected by the cattle rustling.

This year, 380 Ugandan exhibitors are set to showcase a wide range of locally-made products at the 25th EAC Trade Fair in Nairobi, Kenya, beginning on Saturday.
