OVER 1,800 GET HIGHER EDUCATION LOANS

Summary: The Government will offer tuition loans to 1,838 students, after they emerged successful in this years’ Higher Education Loan Scheme. According to the Higher Education Students Financing Board (HESFB), the beneficiaries of the Government tuition loans are 790 (43%) females, the highest since the inception of the scheme in 2014. To be considered for the scheme, one must have been admitted at either a tertiary institution or university to study a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) programme.
