Summary: As the Government intensifies the fight against foot and mouth disease (FMD) countrywide, the Kapelebyong District Veterinary Department has vaccinated more than 9,600 heads of cattle against the deadly disease. The ongoing mass vaccination exercise, which kicked off in the district on July 3 this year, targets to vaccinate over 30,000 cattle by September 13.

Summary: The Government yesterday tabled in Parliament a proposed law with stringent measures to regulate the professional operation of teachers in schools. Generally, the proposed National Teachers Bill 2024 seeks to promote, maintain and protect the ethical standards of the teaching profession, to regulate the teaching profession and provide for an institutional framework for the implementation of policies, decisions and directives issued by the Minister regarding teachers.
