Summary: Construction of facilities for the production of anti-ticks vaccine has been completed, paving the way for Uganda to start manufacturing the vaccines by the end of April. Local production of the vaccines will save Uganda over $1.bb (about UGX. 3.9 trillion) currently lost to ticks and tick-borne diseases annually.

Summary: The Government has earmarked UGX. 1.9 billion for the construction of a raised permanent prestressed concrete bridge over river Katonga on the Kampala-Masaka Highway. The money will also be used to repair sections of the Kampala-Masaka Highway at Lwera and Kalandazi swamps, which are prone to floods.
