Summary: Starting September this year, the Government will address the shortage of health workers with recruitment of 600 medics, the health ministry has revealed. Additionally, another 600 existing medics have been assessed and deemed suitable to replace those who have retired or passed away, with some being promoted to bring the total to 1,200.

Summary: Uganda’s electricity exports to its neighbours reached an all-time high during the period between February last year and the same month this year. The country’s exports through the Uganda Electricity Transmission Company Limited (UETCL) were recorded at 123.9MW by the end of March. This was an increase from 37.7MW recorded in March last year.
