The Government is to merge all media-related laws a comprehensive law-will adequately regulate into that the country’s media industry. The Minister of Information, Communications, Technology (ICT) and National Guidance, Hon. Chris Baryomunsi, said the ministry is drafting a comprehensive communication policy and a national guidance policy that are key in streamlining the sector.

The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development has announced plans to generate electricity from four geothermal sites out of 27 identified locations in different parts of the country.
