The President of Uganda, H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, attended a public meeting in the Kisozi area on Friday, May 24th, to hear testimonies of the partial success of the long-held NRM vision of socio-economic transformation.
The meeting included a gathering of government officials, MPs, district chairpersons, religious leaders, RDCs, and dairy farmers from the cattle corridor.
The farmers reported boosting milk production from 200 million litres in 1986 to 5.3 billion litres, saving Uganda the loss of USD for importing dairy products and earning USD 264 million per year in export earnings.
