Hello and welcome to the March 2025 edition of The Presidency. The Presidency brings you comprehensive coverage of key engagements by His Excellency, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
The month of March highlights and reflects the government’s unwavering commitment to wealth creation, youth empowerment, environmental conservation, and good governance.

From the President’s call to embrace irrigation and protect wetlands in Ntungamo to his endorsement of a groundbreaking copyright management system that protects Uganda’s creatives, each story in this edition showcases actionable steps toward building a stronger, more inclusive nation. In this issue, you’ll read about the President’s visit to Ntungamo, where he encouraged farmers to stop growing crops in wetlands and instead use irrigation to grow more food all year round.
We also bring you inspiring success stories from Ugandans who are using government programs like the Parish Development Model and the Skilling Centres to lift themselves out of poverty.
You’ll read how some have started businesses, completed houses, paid school fees, and turned their lives around. We also document milestones such as the commissioning of the Kampala Flyover, a symbol of Uganda’s infrastructural progress, and renewed efforts to promote gender equality, justice, and regional cooperation.
Kampala now has a new flyover to help reduce traffic in the city. The President also launched a new system to protect musicians and creatives so they can earn from their talent. As always, these updates show how government programs are working on the ground and how every Ugandan can be part of the progress.
