Summary: Uganda has been one of the most consistent participants in the World University Games and has always ranked high on the African continent since the 1970s. It hopes to maintain that when it competes in this year’s edition in the Rhine-Ruhr region in Germany, July 16-27. This year, Uganda will be represented by an even bigger contingent of about 50 athletes from five sporting codes: athletics, badminton, table tennis, swimming, and tennis. Athletics with about 25 athletes will have the biggest contingent, followed by swimming (8), with the rest having four participants each.
