Summary: Over 65% of households in Uganda are connected to the national electricity grid, Joshua Karamagi, the Chief Executive Officer of the Uganda Electricity Transmission Company Limited has revealed. He said the country has made commendable strides in the electricity sector over the last 24 years, getting 65% of households on the grid and increasing the number of substations from 11 in 2001 to 42 this year.
